Jesus Christ
At Life Church we follow Jesus Christ, the King of
kings and Lord of lords and the only-begotten Son
of God the Father. Jesus is the only person through whom we can experience
salvation (Acts
4:8-12 ).
Luke records in Acts
10:36-43 the following statement by the Apostle Peter:
"You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, telling the good
news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all. You know what has
happened
throughout Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John preached — how
God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how
he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the
devil,
because God was with him.
“We are witnesses of everything he did in the country of the Jews
and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a tree,
but God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be
seen. He was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had
already
chosen — by
us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead. He commanded
us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed
as judge of the living and the dead. All the prophets testify about him
that
everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.”
The Apostle Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 15:1-8 the following
about Jesus:
Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached
to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this
gospel you
are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise,
you have believed in vain.
For what I received I passed on to you as of first
importance:
that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was
buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,
and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared
to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom
are still living, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James,
then to all the apostles, and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one
abnormally born.
Jesus said the following about himself:
If you don't already know Jesus, it is our sincere hope that you will come
to know him as your Lord and Savior and by doing so experience eternal life!
Come and check us out and discover what Jesus can do in your life!
